Seguin Police Detectives arrest career burglary criminal

SEGUIN, Texas – SPD Detectives recently arrested Patrick Joyner, 66, of San Antonio after completing a thorough vehicle burglary investigation. He is believed to be connected to vehicle burglaries in Seguin, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.

Joyner admitted that he has been breaking into 18-wheelers for almost two decades. He confessed to breaking into at least 40 big rigs across the state including up to 14 in Seguin. It is believed that that number is much higher due to several hundred pawn tickets that were found during the investigation, and the number of cities Joyner admitted to committing burglaries. Detectives were also able to link his distinct manner in burglarizing 18-wheelers to possible other cases along the IH-10 and IH-35 corridor.

An arrest warrant was issued for Joyner on 2/6/18 and executed on 2/7/18 by Seguin PD detectives. Joyner’s bond was set at $75,000. Joyner is currently booked in the Guadalupe County Jail at time of media release.
