SEGUIN, Texas – Thanksgiving is a time for people to gather, count blessings, and express gratitude. In the spirit of giving, the City of Seguin invites residents of Seguin and the surrounding areas to enjoy a complimentary Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, Nov. 26 from 1 to 3 pm at the Seguin Coliseum, 950 S. Austin.
Hosted by the City of Seguin in partnership with local and area churches, “The Table – A Community Thanksgiving Meal” is an opportunity to not only enjoy delicious food, but also bring people together to celebrate community and give thanks.
Approximately 1,000 plates will be served on a first come, first serve basis. All are welcome and no registration is required. In addition to a delicious meal, there will be activities for kids.
“This event is something we hope the community can enjoy together and take pride in,” said Seguin Mayor Donna Dodgen. “We look forward to serving and enjoying the company of a wide range of residents – from the youngest to those who are lifelong residents of Seguin. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your neighbors and help build unity in our community.”
The free holiday meal is made possible by the generosity of local businesses, organizations and citizens in our community, along with the numerous volunteers who are graciously donating their time to prepare and serve food.
