SEGUIN, Texas - Seguin Fire Department is gearing up for it's annual Open House on Tuesday, October 31.
The community is invited to stop by Central Fire Station, 110 Elm Street, from 5 to 7 pm. The annual Open House is held to celebrate Fire Prevention Month, and for the first time, the department is combining this event with Halloween.
Children and their families can enjoy trick-or-treating, as well as station and apparatus tours, fire extinguisher simulation, free hotdogs, popcorn and candy.
Fire Prevention Month is celebrated every October to raise awareness about the importance of fire safety. The month-long event promotes life-saving practices and home fire safety education.
