[ARCHIVED] Fall Clean-Up Day Coming Up Sept. 30th

Spring Clean Up Day 2023

SEGUIN, Texas – The City of Seguin’s bi-annual Clean-Up Day is coming up on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  Citizens who reside in the Seguin city limits can bring a variety of unwanted items to the Seguin Coliseum parking lot (950 S. Austin Street) from 8 a.m. until noon.

“This is a prime opportunity for citizens to clear out their yards and homes of unwanted, broken or old items. City staff will be on hand to unload the items and make sure everything is disposed of properly,” said Jennifer Sourdellia, Public Information Officer.

Seguin residents are encouraged to bring discarded items for the free disposal event. Participants must provide proof of residency in the city limits by showing a photo ID or utility bill.

A maximum of 10 automobile tires will be accepted. No tractor-trailer, mower, bicycle or ATV tires will be collected. Tires with rims or tires larger than 19.5 inches will not be taken, nor will tires from local businesses.

Free paper shredding will also be available. Residents can bring any documents containing sensitive information for secure on-site shredding and disposal. Up to 2 bags or boxes will be accepted for shredding.

Brush, hazardous chemicals, construction materials/building debris, old fences, sheds or torn down building materials will not be accepted. Appliances containing freon or other refrigerants not allowed.
