SEGUIN, Texas - Kevin Rhea, who has served with the Seguin Fire Department since 2007, was recently promoted to serve the department as Training/EMS Battalion Chief (BC). In this newly-created position, Battalion Chief Rhea will manage the Fire/EMS training program, as well as oversee the department's EMS Operations.
Rhea joined the Seguin Fire Department in 2007 as a Firefighter/EMT. In 2013 he moved up the ranks and was promoted to Fire Apparatus Operator. Rhea was also promoted in following years to both Lieutenant and Captain positions.
Rhea's wife pinned on his new badge, while his son and daughter pinned three bugles on his shirt collar signifying his Battalion Chief status.
