Youth Co-ed Recreational Basketball League
Grades 1 & 2
The goal of this recreational co-ed youth basketball league is for those in Grades 1 and 2 to be given the opportunity to begin to learn the basic skills needed to play basketball including the rhythm of a game, how to dribble, shoot, pass and move with the ball. Drills aim to improve motor skills, as well as cognitive development. For many kids at this age, the concept of being on a team is new, so special emphasis is placed on working with others. The goal of this league is that participants learn about basketball and have fun! Teams will be made up of both boys and girls. All games and practices will be held on Saturdays. League registration fee includes a jersey and a team photo to keep. This is a six (6) week league. Our basketball league for Grades 1 and 2 will have a skills clinic and scrimmage the first week, followed by 5 weeks of games.
Grades 3 & 4
