True Women

History comes to life in True Women, by native Janice Woods Windle. What began as a family cookbook to give to a son and his bride, by 1994 had turned into "epic tales of war and adventure, love and murder, violence and redemption."

A mini-series from Hallmark Productions based on the novel first aired on CBS in 1997. The True Women Cookbook came out that same year, soon followed by the video.
