The Building and Standards Commission is a five-member and two alternates Council-appointed body that takes action on sub-standard buildings in Seguin. Directives from the Commission may include requiring improvements, securing vacant structures or demolition in the most extreme cases. The Commission meets the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
Members shall be appointed for a term of two years. Members shall reside within the corporate limits of Seguin and may serve no more than two full consecutive terms, not including any time served to complete an unexpired term.
