2020 Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Trails Master Plan
The creation of the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Master Plan for the City of Seguin is intended to help meet the needs of current and future residents by building on the community's parks and recreation assets and identify new opportunities.
The Master Plan process, which took 6 to 9 months, included meetings with stakeholder groups, interactive public workshops, surveys, online engagement tools, and public presentations. The result is a Parks Master Plan that establishes a clear direction to guide city staff, advisory committees, and elected officials in their efforts to enhance the city's parks and recreation services and facilities.
Parks and Recreation Director Jack Jones says, "The plan provides a vision to guide the future growth, development, operations, and programs of the City's parks and facilities, recreation and event programs, open spaces, and trail system. Public input was crucial in helping us create a comprehensive park plan that includes the most desired services for our citizens and community."
