Fire Marshal

The Fire Marshal's Office is the enforcement, educational, and informational branch of the Seguin Fire Department. They perform site inspections, issue permits, enforce fire codes, and coordinate pre-fire planning for buildings and facilities within the city.

The division is also responsible for conducting fire investigations to determine origin and cause of all fires, provides public fire prevention/education to the citizens of Seguin and oversees Emergency Management.

The Fire Marshal's Office is managed by Fire Marshal Greg Dreiss and has two full-time employees who are responsible for Fire Inspections/Investigations and Public Education programs. Inspectors/Investigators are multi-disciplined, holding certifications as police officers, emergency medical technicians, fire inspectors, firefighters, and investigators.
