Details: On 12/14/2002 at approximately  9:23 am,  the Seguin Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 964 San Antonio Street, Apartment Number 3, in Seguin, Texas. The body of Japanese student, Mikiko Kasahara, was found in her apartment after a fire was set and extinguished. The autopsy determined Kasahara died as a result of homicidal violence. The investigation revealed that Kasahara hosted a party for fellow Japanese Texas Lutheran University students prior to their departure for the winter break.  The party lasted throughout Friday night until the early morning hours of Saturday, December 14, 2002.  It is believed that the murder occurred sometime between 6 and 9:23 AM.
