Seguin Arts Grant Program
The Seguin Commission on the Arts has received funding to award grants for arts and cultural activities that promote or enhance the arts in Seguin. Funds may be requested to initiate cultural activities; supplement existing arts programming, or provide enrichment or education in the arts.
The maximum request for a project cannot be greater than 50% of the total project cost. Awardees will receive 80% of their grant after the official notification and execution of a grant contract; the final 20% will be released after the funded event, upon completion of a final report to the Arts Commission.
Who is eligible?
- Non-profit, tax-exempt organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service.
- For-profit organizations
- Individual artist projects
- Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements of any previously funded projects with the City of Seguin, including final reports.
- Applicants may not receive funding from any other city board or commission that distributes Hotel Occupancy Tax funds for the project in this application.
- Arts Commission members, their immediate family, and their businesses are ineligible to receive a grant.
Project eligibility and restrictions
To be eligible, projects must:
- Promote the arts. This may include instrumental and vocal music, dance, drama, folk art, creative writing, architecture, design and allied fields, painting, sculpture, photography, graphic and craft arts, motion pictures, radio, television, tape and sound recording, and other arts related to the presentation, execution, and exhibition of these major art forms
- Be within the City limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of Seguin
- Be publicly viewable.
- Be completed by September 15, 2024.
