Storm tree and vegation drop-off and pick-up

SEGUIN, Texas  After a very wet and windy weekend, city crews are already back at work cleaning up tree and vegetation debris left behind from the storms. There will be two methods for getting the debris removed.

Resident Drop-off:
City of Seguin residents can drop off tree and vegetation debris from the storm at the Wave Pool parking lot starting Monday, August 28, 2017.
• Bring proof of residency (driver’s license with current address or a utility bill)
• Community pile will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM every day

Brush Pick-up:

Normal brush routes have been suspended. Public Works is focused full force on clean-up and has suspended grass cutting and paving operations at this point.

• Crews have started on the southwest side of the city, south of the river, and are moving clockwise around the city
• Please place all brush at the usual spot (near where your garbage/recycling is picked up)
• If you miss the first sweep of pick-up bythe city, they have not forgotten you, and will pick it up on the next sweep
• Contractors are already picking up in the center of the city between King St./Court St/Austin St./Kingsbury St.

Tree and Limb Removal:

If you have damaged trees or limbs hanging over the street, city crews will be removing them within 6 feet of the street’s edge. Crews cannot go onto private property, but they can cut down and remove hanging limbs and trees within the right-of-way.

Please call Morgan Ash in the Public Information Office if you have any questions regarding storm debris clean-up.
