One of Seguin's biggest traditions is the annual Independence Day Celebration. Thousands of residents and visitors participate in the festivities and pay homepage to the sacrifices made by the man and women in the Armed Forces.
Thanks to the combined efforts of several organizations, Seguin is well-known for our great Fourth of July celebration. Starting in the days leading up to Independence Day and capping off with the Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Parade, this year’s festivities will offer another memorable and enjoyable experience for the entire family.
Saturday, July 1st - Freedom Fiesta
holiday weekend. Located in Central Park in Downtown Seguin, Freedom Fiesta includes live performances, games, plenty of delicious food vendors, local crafty vendors, and much more. Help your kiddos decorate their bikes, trikes, scooters and wagons with a patriotic theme for a Kiddie Parade led by Uncle Sam. The party begins at 6:00 p.m. and goes to midnight.
Sunday, July 2nd - Patriotic Concert by the San Antonio Symphonic Band
The concert is always a crowd favorite and includes military hymns, classic American folk songs and more that will get you in the spirit of Independence Day. For this outdoor performance bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and beverages of choice.
Monday, July 3rd - Firework Fiesta 9:30 p.m.
Step outside with the family and catch the lights in the sky. Get the best view of the spectacular firework display at Seguin Starcke Park or surrounding area.
Tuesday, July 4th - Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Parade
Join the crowds of over 10,000 people that line up along Austin Street for the annual Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Parade at 10 a.m. This is the main event that get bigger and better each coming year. . Each float is sure to show off the heat and real spirit of our small town and neighboring communities.
Central Park in historic downtown Seguin has plenty of grassy open space for kids to run barefoot. Those moving a little slower can plop down a lawn chair or blanket and sit back and enjoy a pleasant evening where the breeze blows through the huge pecan and oak trees and the water and colored lights dance in the beautiful art deco fountain.
